The Trench

About a half-mile out from the black-sand shores of the Western Ocean, the floor of the sea drops down into an impossibly deep trench. To go all the way down would mean death from too much water pressure for dragon and rider alike. The further down you go, the more glowing fish there are. Just be careful of the giant squids that tend to roam around down here, and the mythical pathoshark that would eat any creature alive.

Western Ocean
More malicious than the Eastern Ocean, the black sands on the shores of the Western Ocean are rather uninviting. The waters are a sickly grey, and filled with venomous and carnivorous fish. However, some of these fish and even the sand itself can be harvested and used in medicines and remedies. This part of the ocean goes deeper than its eastern counterpart, getting darker and more biolumenescent as it goes down. This ocean is only for those who can handle it.
