[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,430,true] | [atrb=background,http://i588.photobucket.com/albums/ss330/Twiggers/blackdragon3.png] The black draca lowered her head at the entrance of the gigantic cave, sniffing around the entrance. There was no dragons' scents that she could pick up at all. She picked up a fox, a wolf, and perhaps a bear, but no dragons. These small, insignificant creatures would be no matter or match for her if they so chose to challenge her presence; her talons would gladly dig deep into their flesh as she pulled their pelts clean off of them. Battle and bloodshed were her forte. She knew the strategies of war like the back of her claws, and she would anticipate to kill if she wanted or needed to.
Raising her head back to it's high place on her shoulders, and she glared her crimson orbs down the dark entrance to the caves in front of her. Her head was always high, as she believed that she had the power to. She would readily take on any creature that dared tell her to stay in her place. She would show them where their place was before they could tell her she even had one. Thrika stepped carefully into the shade of the cave, looking down the multiple pathways that she could take. Each of them seemed to glow softly at the end, suggesting that there was light in all directions. That was weird. Why would a labyrinth of caves be lit? Thrika sniffed the ground again; perhaps there was actually another dragon that lived here. However, she found nothing, and so went forward.
Her talons clicked on the stony floor of the caves as Thrika walked, breaking the silence of the cave. There really was no one here, she concluded as she looked into cave after cave. The deeper she went, the more glow there was to the walls, to the mysterious plants that grew in the corners, and to the fungus that fed off the dampness of the walls. She stopped to inspect a particularly bright mushroom that glowed a neon purple, sniffing it and wondering why it chose to glow the way it did. What purpose did these plants and other organisms have to live? They would never get into the light of the sun, so why did they strive so? It was altogether confusing to Thrika, but she appreciated them nonetheless. They provided her light so that she could see a little better within the dark caves.
This territory was to her liking. It was dark, secritive, and with a soft glow that fit her. Her crimson orbs scanned over the damp walls, the dripping stalagtites and stalagmites, and she, for the first time in a long time, loved it. She had found no trace of anything living in here besides those that glowed, and so, she decided to claim it as her own. Her thunderbreath tore the natural silence of the caves to shreds, echoing over the miles and miles of tunnels and chambers. "I shall claim these caves as my own!" she shouted. "Anyone who dare oppose me shall fight!" Another thunderous roar, and Thrika took flight through the high ceilings of the caves.
