She danced among the clouds. Her twisting and twirling dance was partnered by the ever-changing winds. Laughter pealed out of her sparkling maw like a thousand silver bells. Sceleris looked down on the Golden Meadows that were so far below. It looked like the hide of a great beast. A great best with tiny arrows and bursts of color. A herd of deer ran together across the land. They moved like one of the large flocks of birds. Coordinating like they shared a mind. A thunderous roar vibrated inside her stomach. Yes, she would very much like to have a deer. Her sinuous body turned in to a deadly weapon. Her wings pounded the air and her streamline body rocketed towards the herd. Her mind was grasped in the talons of her instinct. She was sunshine and laughter anymore. She was the graceful and beautiful dragon. Eternal queen of beauty. She was above the herd then. Her powerful wings tucked against her side and she was a snot arrow. The white and silver serpent hit a strong breeze and was blown off course. Her sharp tail dug in to her intended target. Her open maw hit a young yearling.
She pulled both bodies with her as she slid to a stop. She lay the yearling's body down almost gently. Young and innocent. It never would know the pride of having its own harem. Sceleris Tyrell's eyelids flicked closed and she started to vibrate. She dragged the still living deer locked in her tail to her. She stole the rest of its life force and poured it in to the yearling. Live, please. she begged. The maned dragon didn't really use her power much, so she had never mastered it. Her small ears pricked and focused on the body. A faint heartbeat started. One grew stronger while the other lessened. Then only one beat strong. The dragon smiled gently and used her head to nudge the yearling towards her. She wrapped her body around it in a protective semicircle. No hunter would harm this innocent until it had a fighting chance. While she waited she tore in to the carcass that had had its life stolen and twined in to another.
The sun had moved by the time the yearling was able to leave safely. It had tried to bolt a number of times, but she had stopped it. Now she unwound and let it off. A silent thought went with the receding form Good bye, young one. Be more careful. She then wrapped herself back up and went to sleep. A dream came to her. She owned the Meadow and had a great group. Peaceful, yet strong. A place of sunlight and laughter. A haven for peace lovers.
When she woke Sceleris finished off her kill while she chewed on the thought of claiming this land. It would take work, and she couldn't roam the land to find friends. Was it worth it. She came up with her answer and spread her wings. She winged her way up until she could see the whole of the Meadow. Her voice soprano voice roared out across the land "I Sceleris Margaery Tyrell, claim this land, the Golden Meadow as mine own. Let all hear and honor this claim!" She let loose an echoing roar that would be heard all over the Golden Meadow.
