Skale flew around the Spiral Jungle in a rather irritated mood. His family had moved on, yet this was still his territory. The only problem was that there were more dragons flying over the jungle at all times. If they had been there when Skale's sire had been around, this never would have happened. Now the Spiral Jungle was teeming with entire families of dragons, all of which had come around after his sire was killed. It was even said that the encroaching dragons had run his family out. Skale grew more and more angry as he saw the smaller dragons flying toward him. This would not do at all, so Skale flew at them with his unnatural speed. When he reached the leader of the flock, Skale grabbed him and held him with his talons. There was no way this squatter would get by with running his family out of their home.
Skale roared as the dragon hit him in the side. These dragons were more adept at fighting than Skale was, yet he would not back down. The Sky Dragon flew around with the dragon still held in his claws before he released the dragon. The enemy dragon plummeted toward the ground. It slammed into the hard earth that was surrounding the forest and lay there. It looked a lot like the dragon had been killed. Skale roared in triumph as the other dragons flew away in fear. Now it was his territory, as far as he was concerned anyhow. Skale roared as the sky trembled with his roars. He flew down and alighted on a nearby shelf of rock. The trees grew up around it and the cave that was tucked up just under the shelf's edge. Skale climbed into the cave and stood there with his eyes on the jungle, just waiting for another enemy to appear.
Three female dragons, mothers from the looks of it, were sitting on the jungle floor. This was interesting, as they were now dragging the dead enemy's body back into their lair. The sight made Skale happy and it also made him feel like his sire would be proud. Now all that was left to do was find a mate and settle in and have a family of his own. The Sky Dragon laid down and waited for the sun to set. When it set, he would go hunting for his first kill in the territory.
