"She..." Naraseren mused. "Well, then pardon me for persuming thou wert male, son. Thou knowest, it is hard to tell." He said, still refering to the hatchlig as 'son' just to further tease her.
A strange noise started rumbling from the direction of his egg, as if the earth was gathering strength to quake. And indeed, although not the earth, the egg was shaking. As the rumbling noise, and seemingly the shaking as well, grew stronger a possible outcome crept into the man's mind.
"I fear it's going to..." Not finishing the sentence, he instead grabbed the edge of his heavy fur cloak and brought it up around the egg. As the egg burst to shards, it stopped the pieces from hitting Kole or Aqualina while the rest scattered in a semi-circle not shielded by the cape. "It did indeed." He finished, sweeping the pieces from his cloak into a pile.
"Greetings to thou, little one. What shalt be thy name?" He inspected the newly hatched dragon. "Earthen and strong. Eradyrrassil." The little dragon triumphantly stomped the ground, which rose up in a small circle, forming a sort of nest, in which Eradyrrassil placed himself comfortably, stretching his limbs. "He seems to be an earth dragon." The man turned to Kole.
Some language: Eradyrrassil - Earth-[more searing] (as: yrras -> searing; -sil -> comparative suffix)

Kole witnessed the egg hatching. It seemed like there was going to be a huge explosion when the egg burst into pieces. She noticed that the dragon was an earth dragon and then she heard Naraseren name Eradyrrassil. It was a unique name for one as noble as him. That is awesome. It is my honor to meet thou, Eradyrrassil. This is Aqualina, my dragon, and she will behave herself or there will be problems. Kole glanced at her water dragon when she made the comment of behavior.
Aqualina glowered at her rider and then said It is a pleasure to meet you, fellow dragon. I will teach you to swim if you want. In return, could you teach me how to fly, as I am very poor at traveling in the air. The water dragon glanced around, looking for some form of water to swim through. She noticed that there was a small lake about a mile towards the city. Morgana may not have been interesting, yet it hadsome things.

"Considering night is falling on us, we should jus as well have supper. I have set up some rabbit traps, there may be a catch or two by now." Naraseren offered, and stood up to go and check said traps.
Likewise, my dear fellow. Eradyrrassil replied to Aqualina. Flying? I guess it's flapping your wings. He jumped from his dirt-nest and with a few wingbeats he landed a good distance further, then trotted back. And how does swimming work?
Meanwhile Naraseren reached the first rabbit trap and raised a hare in the air by the hindlegs. "Seems we won't be hungry tonight." Then he moved on to the next string loop. Most traps were empty, but he returned with one more rabbit, and started skinning the first one.

Aqualina snorted when she heard the question. Really flying is just like that. Swimming on the other side, is more complicated. You have to be in water. Then you use your wings to propel you forward. Except, the flapping you did won't work. It is more of a turning and pulling the water away from you. The air is meant to hold you up, yet the water is meant to propel you down and forward. Kole heard the response and could detect a hint of sarcasm in her dragons voice. Thank you Naraseren. I did not eat when I waited for my rather rude hatchling to come into the world. She helped skin the other rabbit.

Well, put that way, flying isn't that much simpler either. It just came naturally. One cannot fling their wing upwards outstretched, for example, as it would push them back down. It may turn out that flying is not unlike swimming. Eradyrrassil explicated.
"I left the rest of the traps out, there may happen to be some catch later." Naraseren said while he sharprened some sticks for skewers. "If not else, spare meat always comes in handy for a wanderer, and the pelts are usually welcome by traders and craftsmen for a good coin."
When he finished, he handed a skewer to Kole. He started cooking his own rabbit on an other one. "And even if we don't catch more, these will do for a while for the four of us."

Kole looked over and then took the skewer while thanking him. It was rather nice to have been given this. She then slid her hunting knife through the flesh. This was able to take off the rest of the pelt. She skewered the rabbit and put it over the flame.
Aqualina looked at Eradyrrassil and then took of toward the lake. She could move fast enough to get there before Kole noticed. When she reached the lake, she dove in and swam toward the lake bed. There, she caught several fish and threw them up on the shore. Aqualina climbed out and grabbed the fish in her talons and mouth. She took off into the air and awkwardly flew back toward the fire. The water dragon dropped the fish and then landed. There were about a dozen fish plus the two rabbits.

"Have you a destination, or you just follow the path given by fate or chance like myself?" Naraseren asked the elf while the two rabbits were cooking over the fire.
As Aqualina took off towards the lake, Eradyrrassil rose into the air, ascending to a better viewpoint, and watched his fellow hatchling return with her plentiful prey. Then he glided down in a spiral to the camp.
The man looked up to see what his dragon was doing, then followed the dragon's gaze into the distance where a haphazard silouette approached, gradually revealing itself as a dragon hatchling holding fish wherever possible.
"It seems your dragon - who, behaving herself, has never left of course, - has returned." The man said.

Aqualina swelled with pride as the human spoke about her. Most dragons know that there is a need for extra food. Never before have we gone hungry. Kole grinned and said We just travel. There is no set destination.
