Kole stepped out of the trees around the lake. The waters were strangely clear and showed many different creatures. Her hand rubbed the dragon egg absent minded. The wind blew softly through the leaves, causing a rustling sound to hum through the air, almost as if dragon wings were opening. Suddenly, the egg began to move. Its cool, wet feeling began to heat up slightly as the egg rocked back and forth. Buzzing ran through Kole's arm and her mind suddenly clouded with doubt and worry. She moved the egg out to see it as it rocked.

The egg begins to heat up, and the seemingly wet surface of the egg begins to actually accumulate moisture. After a few minutes of growing wetter and wetter, the object begins to drip water and eventually starts actually melting. The shell flows away in to a teal colored puddle on the ground, and in Kole's hands is left a small, awkward looking dragon. It looks up at it's new rider and gives a small squeak.Congratulations on your new dragon! What will you name it?Species: Water dragon Gender: Female Personality: Although this dragon is female, one would not be able to guess it. She will grow up with a rather boyish attitude, and dislike being treated as a lady, because even dragons have social constructs that portray males as stronger. As for her attitude toward Kole, the dragon will be rather adventurous, and often pick fights with others who happen across her path and are less than cordial, simply to show that she is not a weakling. She will put little consideration in to Kole's wishes unless the rider becomes firm, in which case she will go along with it grudgingly. She naturally enjoys swimming, and is rather clumsy in the air, preferring not to fly unless it is absolutely necessary.
Magickal ability: Waterbreathing

In the future, you shouldn't play out the beginning of your egg hatching. Just put up something simple about the rider chilling out in the area or something. Its not a problem, but just so you know.

Kole stared at the egg as it started to melt. There was a deep sense of fear that filled her chest. This could be bad in the end. Suddenly, there was a dragon sitting in front of Kole. With her hand still near the dragon, Kole realized that it needed a name. You are now named Aqualina, for you are a water dragon. It is my honor to say that I am your rider. My name is Nicole Alicia Haley, Kole, as my friends would call me. The dragon squeaked again and nuzzled Kole's hand and then playfully nipped at her hand. It is good to meet you, Kole. I am glad that you are my rider. Aqualina said with a small tinge of distrust. Aqualina jumped into the lake and dived deep underwater. She refused to resurface when Kole asked her to. Kole looked at the puddle of teal liquid. This was what had been the egg. Now she could call herself a rider, one with a rebellious dragon, but a rider all the same. She reached out and put her hand in the lake, right above where she could see Aqualina swimming. Return to me, now. You are but a hatchling and we need to find somewhere to camp safely. Aqualina swam up in an air of disappointment. She had hoped to keep this elf at a distance while asserting her own authority over Kole. They walked out together and started toward the human lands.
