Peredur saw the egg on the floor as the lights flared up. With the temperature dropping, the young man decided a direct descent would be best. Peredur grabbed the egg and wrapped it inside his wool cloak. Sword already out, Peredur started down the slope. Many wolves prowled around as the human descended. Two bears charged Peredur only to meet their demise. Peredur started dashing down until he passed through the arched gates. He left the mountain.
