The man couldn't tell how he ended up in this blood red valley. Above stretched a clear sky, a rarity in this land, meaning only the tall mountains looming over the valley were responsible for the lack of sunlight. From a few paces to the right he heard a roar. Actually it sounded more like growling, as the owner of the voice was still just a whelp of a dragon, who with time will develop a mighty roar matching for a great dragon, but that is still yet to come. The man walked over to see what was the situation.
"What do we have here?" The man asked as he crouched down at the dragon's side. The dragon, Eradyrrassil by name, did not answer, just stared at the mostly triangular piece of metal sticking out of the ground, then roared at it once more. With a slight rumble the earth started shifting, rising in a small area, lifting with itself the metal: A helmet, adorned with metal wings on it's sides, unearthed itself before their eyes. It had been a majestic helmet in it's own time, likely worn by a high ranking warrior or a nobleman, but now it was marked by time, large stains of rust covering it's once shining surface.
The man smiled at the dragon's clever use of his magic. Most would use this magic to bring up protective slabs of stone to shield themselves, and here a helmet of old rested on a knee-high dais of earth.
The man looked around, thoughtful. He hadn't even noticed, despite the history of this place, there weren't obvious hoards of remains scattered over the valley, most were subtly half-buried under the dirt, stickng out of the red grass here and there. The land looked as if had been like this throughout eternity, as if the ground grew swords and armour pieces, instead of them being the leftovers of old battles.

As cerberus awoke from his slumber it wasnt by choice something was her in his territory. He heard the faint roar and hisses but why would somethimg that little be doing here. As he raised his massive body and walked towards the entrance of his cave he knew that he would risk his life for this territory no matter what the case may be. As he walked into the light he let his wings flex open to prepare for flight.
As cerberus squatted down he kicked off the groud flapping his wings a couple of good times. Before he was gliding above the clouds as he looked at his red sea on the ground there was to faint marks that seemed rather irrateing to him. As he circled around he let out a loud bellow hopeing to alert the human and what seemed to be the little pest that woke him up. As he folded his wings into a diving manner.
As he neared the ground he sucked in some air and in return released a fire stream circleing around the human and his companion. As he finished the circled he hovered towards the ground until landed. As he walked towards the fire circle something shiny caught his attention." So what made you trespass on my land and awaken me from my slumber" he said as he let smoke leave his nose into the face of the human and his dragon." Also what are you a hunter or a tresaure seeker her to still my goods". As he watched the two he looked back at the armor that now stood out of the ground exposed. He let out a growl and snapped his jaws as a crackle of lighting formed in his mouth he let it blast out towards the sky.

Survival instincts kicked in as the man heard wingbeats from above and fire rained down, surrounding the two companions with flames. Within mere moments his grip was tight around the hilt of his sword, Narasrit, held up in defense, awaiting the dragon to reveal itself, as it had to be a dragon, judging by the fire.
And soon did the dragon reveal himself. Mighty in size and stark red in hue, he towered over them clouding their vision with a gust of smoke. Then he spoke.
"We are sorry for awakening you as we did not intend so." The man replied. "Myself, I'm a wanderer known by the name Naraseren, and my companion here is Eradyrrassil." The man introduced himself and his dragon, lowering his blade but still holding it in the ready.
"Our way led us here at the hands of fate or chance. We do not seek to steal from you, and this old steel in the ground is of little value for myself other than the pleasure of it's discovery, and even less for my companion, as it fits him not in shape nor in size."

As he listened to the travelers reason he flexed his wings open sending a gust of air putting out the fire around them." Well you stumbled in here you did. I guess haveing a guess wont be that much trouble and it might be fun to have a conversation". As cerberus looked a the two he lowered his massive head down towards the armor. It might not look like much now but watch as he spoke in his head. As he took in a deep breath he let a gentle stream of fire wash over the armor.
As the armors rust started fade what replaced it was shiny gold. As for the size he shot a bolt of thunder right at it makeing it sort of flexible to whoever the wearier may be." This is the treasure that you carelessly said was nothing any little thing can be made to something new. Your race now and days just throw the broken away". As he leaned his head back his hand came down over the chest piece and he swallowed it this will be a good addition to my treasure.
As it went down his scaly throat he looked back at the two companions the man treated his dragon with respect not many of those types are found. As his head swayed back and forth his eye caught the sword that dangled at his side with his hand around it" You might want to release that before there is unneccsary bloodshed". He said as he let so smoke escape his nose.

Naraseren watched as the armour shed the dirt and rust in the thunderous fire, becoming wholly new, shining and gilded.
"Your wisdom is true that what now is broken and old can yet become new again. But the treasure hunters you are so eager to banish do not usually seek what can be renewed, but what is gleaming already when they find it. And so are they less zealous at strolling over battlegrounds of old than at rediscovering ruins of once-thriving kingdoms with gilded palaces." He said musingly.
At the dragon's noting, he did ease his grip on the sword, placing it's point on the ground and resting his hands on the pommel as the sword stood vertical. The first decisive moments of their encounter had passed, and as conversation emerged it would hardly turn into a fight now.

As cerberus eyes left the human he seen that he moved the sword not in a aggressive manner but to end the problem so far the human hadnt did anything to direspect his land or him. As he looked down at them one more time he decided it was time for him to hunt or his new friends might be his next meal." Well my good friends I have to hunt but you may hunt her as well I will bring something for you and your companion".
As cerberus turned around and walked away he let out a terrifying roar before takeing off the ground. As he now soared across the the sky he knew that most prey were the moutain sheep there. As he flew around he finally noticed a small herd running across a ridge. As he glided closer he saw to bucks that were fighting as he moved closer he could feel the the lighting in his mouth generate.
With a force that that could shake the ground he released the the beam of light that hit both of them instantly killing them. As he hovered close to them he pick them up in each paw and turned back heading towards the humans. As he soared threw the clouds he seen them still standing in the same spot. As he folded his wings he dived down until he was feet from the ground then snapped his wings open and hovered to the ground until he landed. As he landed on the ground he walked towards the two and dropped one of the bucks in front of them and ate the other one as he laid his body down he wrapped his tail around the other side of the two" go ahead and eat its one of the mountain sheep here" he said with a strong confident voice.

"What dost thou think about him?" The man asked his dragon after their host left off to hunt. "What person could he be?"
"Remarkable. Fierce, yet honorable. A king protective of all that is his, with any means necessary." The dragon answered.
"A king indeed, and a warrior soul. One less lucky may not tell a story about encountering him, and still I say we two can trust him, as a host at least, if not more." The man observed. On the distant sky a silouette approached.
"This is most generous of you, that you hunted for us. We thank you." Naraseren said after their host offered them one of the mutton he brought. The man skinned and cut up the sheep, and Eradyrrassil cooked the pieces of meat on a rock with his breath of flames so they both could eat it.

As cerberus watched them it began to surprise him how they worked together as one. He watched as the sheep he gave them wasbcut into shreds and how he turned it into a water food called soup.
As he watched the little dragon breath a low fire over it he knew one day it woukd grow into a powerfull beast one day. As he looked at them he laid his head down and began to sort of wag his tail lifting it up and dropping it on the ground sending small tremors threw the ground. While he breathed in he let smoke pass threw his nose as he slowly drifted off but kept his ears on them listening to every move they made.

"Well, we will be soon on our way onward to the unknown." The man addressed their dragon host when the meal was complete, and he and Eradyrrassil were eating. He also offered the food to their host to share, mostly as manners as the dragon has just eaten a whole sheep.
"So then we thank you for your generosity and hospitality." He continued. "Or if you will so, you can come along with us as well." He added, not suggesting either options as a preference but to indicate that the choice was of the dragon's. Meanwhile they finished their meal, and the man and his dragonling were roasting the remaining meat of the mutton to be packable for later times along their seemingly endless journey.

As cerberus sat there he noticed how they were packing there supplies and eating the stuff they made. While he looked at the man he noticed him give him a bowl of what they ate. As he lowered his head he let his tounge slip into the bowl with two licks the bowl was empty and spotless. As he he felt the liquid move threw his throat he felt a tingleing sensation. As he listen to the man speak of liveing he knew he would miss the company but he brought up him about living with them.
" Well my young friends if I was to leave then who would take care of my precious land. But who would also make sure my treasures werent stolen". With that he let hit tail lash out and slam on the ground. The thought of leaveing was far from his mind this was his home. As he looked at the two a distant roar caught his ears. Someone hear now after all this time must had been a rouge thinking I left. As he raised his massive body he stood on his hind legs and let a roar erupt from his jaws.
As he stood there he could see the intruder glideing in the distance towards them. As he looked back down at the two he gestured for them to get cover. As the dragon made its way closer he could see its blue scales but also ducked just in time as a bolt of lighting soared over his head. As he kicked off the ground he headed straight for the blue as he made his way closer he noticed the blue dive for the ground but that wouldnt stop him. As he flew after him a burst of fire escaped his jaws knocking the blue out the sky and skidding across the blood stained grass. As he landed on the ground he charged at the blue while it was getting up knocking him over.
As the two clashed he felt claws skid down his side as he jaws came up he clamped them around the blues throat. As it struggled his right clawed hand slammed down across the blues head killimg him instantly. As he looked at the limp body he stood up releaseing a loud roar as he circled around he looked for his tiny companions makeing sure they werent struck by the stray bolt of lighting. As he looked at them his attention went back towards the blue, as he took a deep breath in he let an explosion of fire wash over the blue dragon turning the once blue scales into a charcoled black.

"Once again, your words of argument are of truth, I cannot deny it." The man said. "Farewell then, stand proud above your lands."
As he packed the last things and prepared to set off, a distant roar echoed through the valley, closing in. He raised his eyes upon the sky and saw the dragon above. His sword was soon at the ready, marching to aid their host once the blue one got close enough.
A lightning struck at them from the assailant which their host gracefully dodged. A step away from the man Eradyrrassil unearthed a slab of earthy rock which the two of the could use as cover. Naraseren lunged himself toward it, escaping the bolt, but his sword was caught by the lightning. His arm jolted by the shock and the weapon fell out of his hand, but the rest of the shock was carried into the ground he landed on, conducted by the steel scales of his armour. He emerged from behind the bulder to witness Cerberus taking out the intruder.
Arm still numb, he reached for his trusty blade. He almost threw it away in an instant as arcs still danced along the blade, slowly fading away. He did not do so only for he saw the arcs avoided the hilt, and that he was already holding it so were the grip charged also, it would have shocked him the moment he touched the grip.
"Curious. Curious indeed." He murmured, observing the strange behavior of the lightning on the blade. The phenomenon did not last long, but he believed what he witnessed was the dragon magic imbuing the weapon.
"It is your argument what we saw to be proven indeed." He said to their host after the scene was done, the remains of the intruder still smoking in the background. "The two of us, our endless journey awaits. For you, it is your land then that you will watch over. Farewell now, and may your rule be ever triumphant." Bowed out Naraseren one last time before he and Eredyrrassil took their leave.
